Antique Shekarlu Qashqai rug of classic design, a rug of very fine weave, Circa 1880.
This classic Shekarlu has a field full of tribal motifs, including shrubs, flowers, animals and birds, and the Shekarlu comb design.
The array of colours is outstanding including yellows, soft blues, reds and greens. The border is of typical Shekarlu design. The rug has a soft floppy handle and is of very fine weave.
