Shahsavan Bag Face

Finely woven in the sumakh technique, this half of a Moghan Shahsavan double bag displays a box-shaped medallion decorated with arrows and a main border of hooked diamonds. In items of this kind the pattern threads are often so firmly depressed that the structure of the weaving is hermetically sealed.
