This rare, mid 19th century Salor Chuval is an exceptionally important and museum quality masterpiece of Turkmen nomadic art, originating from the highly revered and historic Salor tribe. Renowned for weaving some of the most technically refined and artistically prestigious textiles in Central Asia, this hand knotted wool storage bag face showcases the legendary craftsmanship that has captivated elite collectors for generations. The central field is enveloped in a magnificent, deeply saturated madder cherry red ground, which serves as a powerful backdrop for a meticulous arrangement of primary Salor guls. These legendary octagonal tribal crests are woven with incredible precision, displaying characteristic internal star patterns, crisp ivory highlights, and deep indigo detailing that represents the pinnacle of classical Turkmen heraldic design.

Alternating beautifully between the primary crests are delicate, diamond shaped secondary Chemche guls, creating a superb visual rhythm and a sophisticated sense of spatial balance across the main field.
