The composition is centered around a vibrant madder-red prayer niche (mihrab), which is intricately filled with a lush “Tree of Life” motif. The tree features scrolling branches adorned with an array of blooming flowers and delicate vine scrolls in shades of indigo, gold, and soft pink. Above the niche, the spandrels are decorated with pair of elegant bird figures perched amidst botanical elements, a classic symbol of paradise and spiritual elevation. The inclusion of decorative vases on either side of the mihrab adds to the architectural depth and formal elegance of the piece.

Framing this central scene is a series of meticulously rendered borders on a luminous golden-ivory ground. The main border showcases a rhythmic succession of stylized floral rosettes and interlocking vine scrolls, demonstrating the high knot density and exacting detail typical of mid 20th century silk Kayseri production.
