Early Caucasian Carpet
18th Century Caucasian Carpet
An early Harshang-design carpet from Northwest Iran or the Southern Caucasus, an area sometimes now called “The Golden Triangle” among rug scholars. The allover Harshang design on deep blue field with a wide array of older natural dyes. Overall very good condition for its age with small areas of visible wear. A sophisticated carpet for the collector and still perfectly usable on the floor.
